I have been writing professionally since I was 19. I spent decades working for major media out lets in Canada and NYC.
When I left the office world to help look after my kids, I started writing books. To my utter surprise:
• people actually seemed to like them
• some have been bestsellers
• some have been used as university text books
• they are frequently refered to in doctoral theses and other academic papers
they have been quoted in Rolling Stone, Time, The Kyiv Post and many other prominent media
• one was cited on the floor of the California Legislature
Since I have held essentially every job there is in publishing (writer, editor and designer), I started publishing books for myself, and for others. It’s worked out pretty well.
